For people in my hometown: Gary got his start in ministry as an associate pastor at First Baptist Regina, then had a highly successful pastorate at First Baptist Edmonton before moving on to above appointments.
Just a few days after I first posted this, I was informed of Gary’s passing. in recent years his health has been failing, due in part we understand to a “bug” picked up while on international travels in his ministry roles.
